One of our main motivations behind the creation of the workshop on self-portrait collage is to democratize arts and to particularly encourage youth from black communities to participate in artistic activities. Too often, arts are not valued in our communities, and it's necessary for us to create these spaces and facilitate family moments. It was also important to us that the workshop be created and facilitated by an artist from the Black communities so that the youth can discover new models.

In partnership with @mbamtl, the Black Joy MTL's team invite you all to take part in this artistic workshop created and facilitated by multidisciplinary visual artist Anna Binta Diallo on March 27 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.

We invite your child to explore these questions during the workshop: " How can we tell stories by collecting and playing with found imagery? How does changing the context of the images change the stories we are telling? "
